Summer and Fall Bits

At this point, I'm not sure when did summer end and fall begin - or has it even? But I've come to a conclusion that waiting for the right time to don transitional outfits is as ludicrous as losing weight overnight so why bother? What I did to keep myself sane instead is mix the colors and cuts. Maroon and plaid definitely scream fall, but what pulls the outfit together is this turtleneck cropped-top. Easy enough to understand that it's still hot in here, but we're getting there.

This was essentially what I wore for a particularly long Saturday last weekend. Since my day was packed, I needed a versatile outfit that could work for a casual work meeting, attend a fashion show, and go on a BBQ party at the beach in the evening - and this did it. The trick? I brought a pair of slip-ons in my bag to change with. Plus the plaid shirt was an option for a quick change in case it got chilly at night. Capiche?

But I digress, tell me about your Halloween plans. If you must know, I plan to be Katy Perry... I mean, you only get to dress up as anybody else once a year so it better be damn good. Hopefully I can pull it off. What do you think? Talk, talk, loves.

  1. For the first time in about 6 years, I won't have any kids to go trick or treating with. I am half sad and half looking forward to just hanging out. Love this look on you!
