Natural Photo Spots | Coloane Trail Hiking

Photos by Pierre Elma, taken with a Fujifilm XE1

From brunches to casual walks in the park, Penguin and I are taking our Saturday morning routines to new level by exploring some of Macau's lush greenery. There's something so refreshing about spending a morning with mother nature, stepping into heights, and taking a bigger look at things from an elevated point of view. Makes me relieved of all the stress from the hustle and bustle that work and the city life brings.

On this particular morning, we walked the Seac Pai Van trail starting from the park at the foot of the hill, crossed over to the Coloane trail from where they're linked at an intersection, got lost along the way, then found ourselves on the highway leading up to the A-Ma statue and temple. We decided to walk up to the landmark and hop on the shuttle bus to take us back down. At this point, we'd been walking for 2 hours already, but that includes taking lots and lots of photos as Penguin brought his new camera along for a road test.

If you must know, Macau has got a good number of trekking trails and for the next weekends to come, Penguin and I are taking it upon ourselves to explore all of them. Let's hope I can document the rest of them and share with you all here.

So what about you, what are your plans for the weekend?
