The new old

I love myself a good pair of retro sunglasses. This 2nd generation Shanghai Tang sunglasses is just perfect. Inspired by old 1960s Hong Kong, it clearly defines the brand's modern Chinese chic aesthetic. I like that it's also designed for everyone, both men and women. Penguin and I took it to their rooftop to shoot, taking full advantage of the perfectly blue-skied, sunny day. I'm not fond of Macau's summer but at the same time I can't deny that the whole city is prettier under bright sunshine specially if you look at it through filtered lenses and from a high angle.

Anyway you'll have seen some photos from this series on my Instagram in support of Shanghai Tang's campaign called the Wall of Fame. They've taken it to Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, and Shanghai to scout the most stylish people on the streets wearing these neo-retro looking sunglasses. Everyone who gets snapped is entered into a competition on Facebook and whoever gets the most "likes" wins a free pair. Check out #walloffame @shanghaitang to see the others.
