Balancing Act11:38 PMCarla Florendo
Wraps, cut-outs. Structured, slouched. Formal, casual. Sporty, minimal. Threw in everything in the mix and am perfectly content for coming up with a look that defines my current style aesthetic. Achieving that balance between not looking too girly nor thug while throwing in bits of trends and a cool-girl edge is what I always aim for, and so far I'm convinced that I have my style formula almost perfected. The only thing missing? A toned body where I can fit every single article in my closet well and right. But I'm working on that too, going to the gym, being active, and all.
That being, I'm obsessed with the sports luxe trend now more than ever. All the while I've started going back to the gym, I appreciate pieces from streetwear and sports brand more. In fact, I'm surprised at myself by how much I am willing to spend for a pair of sneakers now than I would for a pair of heels. It's funny but it also makes sense seeing as I'm able to wear sneakers more than heels because they're much more comfortable. And where my style is concerned, comfort is always key. Those of you who has been following along would know this about me. So consider them investment pieces.
Anyhow, what do you think - yay or nay? Let me know in the comments.
