Yesterday's Look: High Waist Shorts
I felt like I had a rendezvous with the past yesterday when I took these photos with Chezka at the Nova Park. I used to love this place when I was younger. I wanted to live in one of its buildings because it used to be one of the coolest residential compounds in Taipa. It had is own sports and fitness facilities and a pool, besides the playground just above the car park.
I've always wanted to go swimming at the Nova Pool because there always were a lot of kids there, and to my knowledge the cool ones. The teenage girls that I used to look at, they had the guts to wear bikinis while I was pathetically hiding under a towel at a corner because I didn't have their guts and I was just this shy little girl. Regardless, I spent a lot of summer days at this place back then.
Now that I'm older, I don't see my fascination for the place anymore. I wanna laugh at myself when I remember about my silliness back in the day. I got to live at one of the buildings when I was a bit older then, and I did like our flat there. But it didn't really feel as cool as I had thought when I was younger. It's probably because the buildings got older and dirtier? Even the pool. I don't know but I guess things that appeal to us when we were younger would not appeal just the same later, while we find that sometimes we'll love some things we thought we'd never come to like.
