Week In Photos

Happy Lunar New Year! Living in a city part of China, I've become quite fond of this wonderful Chinese tradition, specially of course the part when I receive red pockets! It's like having Christmas in the city all over again,  sans Sta. Claus and Christmas carols, only replaced by dragons, lanterns, and the sound of firecrackers. I enjoy the holidays too, except for this year since I'm having my internship, which means I don't get to enjoy the super long break from school. Much of the contrary as a matter of fact, I'm stuck up at work at most time of the day, the worst not being able to take outfit photos because I finish up when the sun is already down. And what with the cold weather these days, dropping to 5 degrees, it's even more difficult to pose for the camera without shivering/shaking, and unknowingly making weird faces.

To make up for lost time, I've gathered a few snapshots of my outfits as posted on instagram (follow me @carlaviolet04) and here you'll have an idea how I've been dressing up these days.

The last photo was taken in the bathroom while I was taking my break at work. I love the red coat, don't you? It's part of the uniform when I work front line at the counter. Too bad it's not everyday that I get to wear it because it is really warm, and because I won't be staying at the counter all the time.

Well, that's about my post and I really will try my best to find some time to take pictures (and I mean time when it's still bright outside!)

Have a lucky year of the dragon!

Cheers, Carla
