Something Personal

I found them back, the two very personal notebooks that I have. OK, it's not like I lost them but they were stored away in some boxes, left to dust, since my focus clearly swayed. Before I start bubbling though, let me warn you that this will be a very long, personal, and photo overloaded post so if you dare, bear with me... and since I think most of you have no clue on what I'm talking about, allow me then.

I have two special notebooks which I call "The Bad Girl's Life Secrets" and "The Paris Notebook". I can't really say in a simple word what they are - to most people, they might call them  doodle diaries. To me though, it's more than just the doodles (of course they have images of stuff that I cut out from magazines too), but because most of the things in it characterize my emotions and feelings at the time, and my dreams.

For the Bad Girl's Life Secrets, it was like a coping mechanism during my late teen years, when I used to fight with my mom a lot, barely had any real friends or self-esteem, felt like I was alone in the world, all emotional and stuff, haha. Don't lie to me, we've all somehow undergone a phase like that, yeah? And I wasn't blogging then. I doodled - when I was happy, sad, angry, bored... basically it was an annoying and distracting habit,  but it beats having nothing to do.

The Paris Notebook was a surprise gift from Penguin. Funny how he could read my mind from afar because that day, I saw it at a nearby shop at school and planned on buying it later that day. After my last class, Penguin picked me up with a surprise and you can bet, it was the notebook! For how he knew I wanted it, I don't know, but I assure you, I never told him. This one contain a very different set of doodles from the previous because I was over the "phase". It's about more like what I was, inches before this blog began.

Now, I'd like to share with you again some of my favorites from both notebooks, ready to reveal some secrets, haha. (I mention again because I have already posted something about these a long time ago, though not very detailed). Do CLICK HERE to preview the content after the jump.

One thing: I collect clothing tags, which I paste everywhere. I'm addicted to them, I don't know why.

I was in an all-girl band with the only best friends I had back in the P.I., where I played guitar. But I moved back to Macau after 2 years, so I missed playing. To cope: doodle

When I was about 15/16, I fought with most of the people in my family a lot, and I ignore them by blasting my ears with loud music, hence, girl in headphones.

Des is my Tripxie - a made up word for someone who's more than a bestfriend, more than a sister. Soul sister? Sadly, we're miles apart from each other.

Besides Des back then, Andrew is my other bestfriend. Again, miles apart.

Des loves this kind of print. She calls herself island girl, but I guess we both are. I doodled this for her, and idea for her skim board design.

Reflecting on the days, this was done on the Paris notebook.

Oh, and yes, I'm a DIY person since I was little so there's no need to explain. I planned to purchase some white vans back then to customize, but I never got to do that. Hmm.

I was feeling ambitious and thought of making these sets a reality. In fact, I was able to make the green skirt! But nothing of the rest, haha.

And here are some unfinished doodles. Hmm.

So, that's about my special notebooks. Did you learn anything about me? Haha. Honestly, I don't have any outfit photos for you guys since I was occupied the whole afternoon, doing a major clean-up in my bedroom, so wasn't able to take pictures. To my luck, after the clean up, I recovered these along with some old photos. I felt rather sentimental and my mood was set to  post something a little more personal, about me, rather than another outfit or shopping post. Don't worry, this kind don't happen too often =) Have a great week!

Yes, we all went through an emotional phase that's similar, I'm sure. I know I went through that in middle school and the beginning of high school. So grateful to come out on the other side better and happier though :)
