welcoming spring...

... in neon and tropical prints! Don't get your hopes up just yet though. With Macau, it's never a sure thing with the weather. But so far, it's been consistent the past week and I'm enjoying  the combination of windy and warm - neither too hot nor cold. Plus, the sun is out, which means I get to take better photos!

On a more serious note, I've been thinking so hard about what I want to do lately. I mean, I'll be graduating soon... and time flies, we all know it. I feel like I have no solid plan on what I want to do with my life. OK, scratch, actually I do. But I'm contemplating on three major plans which I can't decide one that is best. Are any of you, almost-done-with-college people experiencing this or is it just me? I think I'm being a little too paranoid, but then with a lot of options in front me, it's really difficult to choose. Working is the ultimate sensible choice, I know, and believe me if it were the only choice, getting a job is not a problem at all. But what I really want to do is start my own business because I don't like limiting my own potentials, specially anything related to fashion, style, or design. Capital, however, is my major concern. Although some businesses do not require a large amount of capital investment becasue of their nature, still, I need to start with something right? And it's tough. The third major option is to work abroad. Trust me, although I love Macau because of its easy and hassle-free lifestyle, it's a little boring here. Sure it's Asia'a Las Vegas, and living in a wealthy but tiny city comes with perks like yearly cash subsidies from the government... but I feel like there's no space for personal growth here. I want to be able to explore other places and learn new things, that's just me.

With all these in mind, I'm really confused. What do you guys think? Care to give me some tips or advices? Will really appreciate it.

Cheers!

  2. Fistly, cute outfit! So colourful and chic!

Secondly, as a college Student who entered work first then went back to education. Those years I spent working were key in giving me the drive and direction I now have thus if you decide to, I don't think going into work would be a bad idea. I know it's cliché but I'd say you should sit down and think about your ideal life in 5 years time - your job, your location. If you don't know how to get there, ask people who've achieved it. Research, I think, is key to deciding your future. Call up companies you want to be a part of or want your company to be like. (Companies love talking about their experience and how they got to the top.) Talk to people who live in the country you want to move to, etc. Hope this helps xx

  3. You and I are in the same boat Carla. Alright, you're ahead of me actually (only in my first year of college, no where close to graduating haha!), but I've been thinking about the same things. I'm second-guessing myself and want to invest my education in something will pay off in the future. I'm even seirously thinking about changing my major.
For you, I want to encourage you to pursue where your talents lead you. It'd be such a shame to see those go to waste.
Anyway, about the outfit...gah, I can't get enough of the colors! I wish it was warmer here...otherwise I'd definitely be wearing some bright skirt and neons.

  4. First of all I love this outfit! the neon and tropical combo is too pretty. I'm 2 years behind you but definitely have similar fears. As cliche as it sounds, you should do what you love! I think you're young enough to try it out, and if it's a mistake, at least you learned from it. You don't want to be 50 and think "what if..."

  6. You are the cutest thing Carla! I love the tropical look to this outfit. As for what to do after school, that can be really hard! I went into the medical field because I knew it was something that would always be needed. I'm just happy to have a steady job! Good luck and I hope you find what you're looking for!

  9. This is such a fun, vibrant look! I drooled a bit over those boots of yours-they are so chic! As for your dilemma, I've been in the same place throughout this past year. I graduated almost a year ago and I still feel like I'm not sure what I want to do with my life. Hopefully opportunities will open up to you that you'll love!

  12. The tropical print skirt is so pretty and I LOVE the color of your top! Hmm if I was in your situation, I think I would want to travel abroad to see if starting up a business would be better somewhere else and if not, to come back. But I have absolutely no experience about this kind of thing. Good luck to whatever you choose to do!

  13. Love the accessories in this outfit and the cheerful colours :)

Everyone goes through what you are going through right now :) And its never easy to take a decision. My suggestion would be to first take a job in something you like to do and preferably in the field in which you want to start your business. This will give you experience, a sense of how it all works and also a bit of capital. Eventually, when you are a bit settled or comfortable, you can go into business.

I don't know whether this is similar to what has been suggested above. I did not read all the comments. Hope this helps!
