[Jacket : MPT][Tee : Local Store from Hong Kong - buy it here][Skirt : Asos][Shoes : Local Store]
You've all probably seen the likes of this top around the websphere since Alexander Wang's SS'14 Ready-to-wear collection prompted every high street and fast-fashion brands to create an inspired, or I'd say knockoff version of their own. Who can blame them, eh? Even an anti-Kardashian like myself would agree to Khloe's all-white errthang wearing A. Wang's piece in a fashion face off with Rihanna and Jourdan Dunn. Not to mention little sister Kylie Jenner's more casual getup, and Lily Allen's rock and roll take to which I'd give an even bigger nod. If it's patronized by the industry A-listers, wouldn't you want to join the club?
It's a "yes, I would" if you ask me...
... though as much as I'd love to have the real deal, which I have so recently chewed over, most of us - correct me if I'm wrong - can only afford the lesser-priced versions. And so lo and behold, I found an equally cool alternative of this trending piece - a more affordable version in neoprene-like and jersey material from a local store in none other than Hong Kong. You can read all about how I acquired it here - so much glory.
Now, while we verge into the topic of acquiring looks for less, I am pleased to tell you all that this exact same top I have on is also available for purchase from my mini pop-up store - just click on this link or click the "shop" button on my blog tab above to get it, get it, get it now! I'm sure at least one of you somewhere out there is eager to jump into the "Explicit Content" wearing bandwagon but, like me, can't justify the worth of $1000 for a sheer, paneled sweater. So here's an option... all yours for the taking.
Anyway, that's it for now. Off to bed before I get grounded - Parental Advisory in effect. Hehe.
Lol at parental advisory. I love this look, very edgy, great find.ReplyDelete
Dope sweatshirt, I saw Kat Graham wearing one the other day at a Lakers game I believe and I've been in lust ever since. Awesome look :)ReplyDelete
I am on board! In fact, I think that anytime a trendy little number like this is way overpriced, a knock off is totally acceptable. I mean, I would never spend more than $30 on a sweatshirt. But this one IS cute and I love the rockin' way you styled it!ReplyDelete
Yes, love the way you are rocking this trendy sweater! Knock offs are perfectly acceptable when done well :)ReplyDelete
