Gingham Style

Half a fashion week craze and three consecutive nights of sleep deprivation later, I'm in a state of limbo and feeling a little less encouraged, which surely doesn't bode well for my attempt to do it all. That's not saying I din't enjoy the festivities of the past days, no. Hong Kong fashion week has been most amazing yet this year having gone so with the best and craziest of company. But having resorted to living in an overnight bag, transferring from one hotel to another, doing as commuters do, taking sail while everyone else sleeps to get to my corporate job in time, just so I could be a part of the fashion madness for the rest of the evening has definitely taken its toll on my body. Suddenly I'm looking like a panda and my back is sore more than ever. Do I still I think travelling jobs are fun? I must be superwoman. Alas, I'm not, which only goes so sadly to say that I will be missing the Moiselle show tonight to take a breather.

Bummer.

But drama aside, I have a backlog of outfit photos to share with you all while I find time to sort out the hundreds I took the past few days (ultimately another set of backlogs, per se). These in particular were taken some days ago in an attempt to include myself in an article about trend forecasting I'm writing for a magazine but decided otherwise. In monochromatic uniform as usual, though this time I jazzed it up with dark browns and faux fur details. Just the right kind of casual goodness.

Anyway, I must get going and regain my energy. I'm pretty positive in that I'll try to catch the Shanghai Tang show tomorrow after work so best get to bed now.

Cheers!

  3. I've enjoyed seeing all of your festivities on Instagram! Looks like such a fun time! I love this look too. Gingham has always been my favorite print (next to stripes, of course).

  4. Busy, busy Carla! Aha I don't know how you do it. It must be because you love it ;)
Anyway, you look fantastic here. It may have to do with the black and white palette (gee, who would've guessed?), but I really love this outfit. I need a gingham button down like that!

  6. Better to have backlogs than to have nothing at all! I always love any neutral toned outfit, but this is even better cause of that gorgeous lipstick you're wearing :)
