Lost in Mongkok

And so from my previous post, Penguin and I did end up taking a jaunt to Hong Kong. After all, Macau is a little quieter than usual (well, except for the firecrackers) and what else can we do on a holiday but get out of town.

We headed straight to Mongkok supposedly to window-shop so I was careful not to pick up anything from the sale as we strolled along sneaker streets, ladies market, and the usual fast fashion stores along the way. But I couldn't help myself when we entered Monki and I laid my eyes upon a gorgeous navy midi coat with a vest as an outer-layer that I eventually succumbed. It was out of the box in a way and believe it or not, the last piece on the rack, my size. I mean, get it? It was meant to be! So I took it as a sign and brought it home with me.

Then at night, we paid a visit to the Great European Carnival per Penguin's request. He's been meaning to experiment with neon lights in pictures at night and a carnival is the quintessential location to do so. Well, as far as I'm concerned, where I'll be in the pictures and there'll be rides, sweets, and giant teddy bears involved, why not? And of course, I get access to those photos to share with you so stay tuned as they'll be up here really soon.

Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this photo set that he took as we wandered in the ever busy streets of Mongkok. Oh, and I hadn't really noticed until the photos that I was sort of a walking Forever 21 mannequin in all Forever 21 pieces except for the blue chelsea boots, which is a gift from SammyDress, and this Michael Kors selma bag. I'd thought about this scenario for so long and lead me to conclude that I should lessen my visits to Forever 21 or at least when I do, to stop picking up an item from almost every rack in one go because clearly, there's plenty other brands out there. Right? It's a bad habit that should be stifled.

Anyway, love or loathe, let me know our thoughts down below. Cheers!
