When I was in my late teens, I used to swear off jeans, particularly the blue ones, thinking that they were old fashioned, unflattering, and just too casual for my taste. I was more of a skirt and trousers kind of girl as I begged to differ from my peers who wore nothing but jeans and tees. But as I grew older I realised the importance of basics in one's wardrobe and that included owning a few pair of jeans, be it skinny, mom jeans, boyfriend jeans, or ripped jeans which are super popular this summer. They make putting an outfit together so much easier because you can always dress them up with heels, or dress them down with sneakers. So now I've embraced the fact that I need jeans in my life and invested in a few.
This outfit is another take on the denim on denim trend. But since it's still too hot to actually wear a denim jacket in Macau, I decided to pair these skinnies with a tube top and just knotted a denim jacket around my waist. This trick has actually become my go-to add-on for an instant casual cool girl effect. Et voila, ready to go.
