Irresistible Me | Diamond

Okay, let's head over to the beauty section of this blog for a few minutes as I talk about my daily hair routine in collaboration with Irresistible Me.

If you've been trailing the blog long enough, you'd know that I've kept my hair short for quite a while now. My mother could never understand why and until this very day, she still urges me to grow them out longer. Well she has her reasons for convincing me so; firstly, because my hair is really thick and stubborn; and secondly, for her, girls are prettier when they have longer hair. But I find the latter irrelevant because I disagree.

But I digress.  A lot of people would that short hair is easy to mange, which is somehow true and I quite agree. But on the other hand, for my hair type, it's a special case because while my hair is naturally straight, due to its thickness, it tends to look bushy. In addition, because of the multiple times that I had to bleach it in an attempt to go grey but alas, could never manage (still dreaming), my hair has become really dry. So almost on a daily basis, I have to iron my hair to keep it straight and somehow flat.

Now the hair straightener that I use is somewhat an old model; one that I've have for ages and never upgraded. To be fair, it's heavy duty and really works well. But then, it is heavy. Like, literally. And since I've been travelling a lot the past months, I meant to buy a lighter, smaller version that I can bring along with me whenever I go out of the country.

Enter stage right: the Diamond flat iron. The lovely folks over at Irresistible Me sent this over in perfect timing for me to try out. Like my prayers were answered right? And so as soon as I received it in the mail, that very day, I tested it.

One thing that I really like about this hair straightener is that it's the perfect size, and at the same time it's heavy duty. It's not too big, nor too small - because I know there are other types of flat irons in smaller sizes but I doubt whether they are capable of really being able to straighten my hair as flat as I would want it to be.

Another thing that I like about it is that it heats up pretty fast. This makes it convenient for me for when I have to iron my hair before I leave for work in the morning.

Here's a couple of photos from when I was testing the Diamond flat iron. You'll notice how messy and bushy looking my hair is above; and after a few strokes, below you'll see my hair looking a lot more in order; straighter and flatter. Note that I did not go full ironing my hair from over and under, top to bottom. This was because I wanted to test the iron in a way that I would use in early in the morning when I prep for work. As I don't have the luxury of time to do my hair in the morning, I only do a few strokes to keep my hair in place. This is just the way I like it.

Besides the Diamond flat iron, Irresistible Me has a lot of other hair care products and tools, including their specialty - quality hair extensions. Do check them out as you might find something to fancy.

Meanwhile, care to share your thoughts on my hair after?

Cheers!
