Hello 2017 | Bye Bad Vibes
Turning my back on the bad vibes, haters, and all the negativity of 2016, and saying hello to a fresh new year on a high note.
I know that 2017 will be a rocky year for sure, but knowing that I survived last year being thrown into a sea full of sharks; carried so much weight physically and emotionally, then eventually overcame every challenge and unburdened myself with all that load; lived half of the year away from my comfort zone, my family, and loved one, but in exchange I also gained experiences and so much lessons learned in such a short period of time that would have taken me years to learn - all that said, I know I'm ready to face what challenges that 2017 might throw at me. Let's bring it on!
This year, I'm not setting myself up for a trap by planning any specific New Year's resolution. Instead, I will just aim to focus on 2 things: health and wealth, and by wealth I mean managing my personal finances well. It dawned on me recently that I'm not in my early twenties anymore. I used to use that as an excuse to get away with spending too much because I can always say I'm young; I can always start over. But I hate to admit that I cannot use that excuse any longer. It's time to start adult-ing, boring as that might sound but yeah, gotta be done.
And health. Big yes to focusing and getting myself into a healthier lifestyle this year. I was in and out of it the past year just like I was in and out of Macau. But that has to change; just like how my lifestyle revolves around this blog. If I was able to do that, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to incorporate healthy living as well.
Whatever your goals or resolutions are for this year, I wish you and I both the best of luck. Have a blessed and fruitful 2017, ya'll!
P.S. Shout out to Eddy of MKYG for this awesome tee!
