Not Hype Enough

Having abstained from shopping for over a month already has got me digging through my closet, finding new ways to wear my old clothes. Lo and behold, I found this pair of shorts that I've never worn before. I also realised that in fact most of my new clothes and shoes have only been worn less than thrice and in my opinion, that's not giving them justice in fulfilling their purpose and that is to be worn. All the more reason for me to deviate from the shopaholic route. But of course, I can't promise because I am travelling to Seoul next week so...

Having said that, this outfit is a combination of my prized possessions a.k.a. bargain finds. Believe it or not, I don't always pay more than retail price for any of my high street / designer branded stuff except for the very first time that I bought two pairs of Jordans in one go, and that time I bought two Anti Social Social Club T-Shirts for a ridiculous re-sell amount, but those were bad decisions made some time ago; if anything, I always, always hunt for bargains because I learned my lesson that the hype dies down and the expensive things I buy usually just end up at the back of my closet after being used once. Now that I know better, you'll be shocked if I told you just how much I got this Off-White bag for and this Gucci tee (but I won't tell you just to keep the mystery alive). I was also lucky that I got to buy this pair of Nike Air Max 97 Silver Bullet at a regular retail price; shout out to the homies who bought them off re-sell, I know they're hard to come by; I'd do the same but sometimes we get lucky you know. Shop smart, you guys. Shop smart.

On a more personal note, I just want to say that I haven't been feeling myself lately. This is why it took a few days for me to get this post together, not for the lack of great photos and an equally dope outfit to showcase (thank goodness I haven't lost my sense of style?); but I haven't been feeling creative and inspired lately. My work-stress is really hitting me hard these days that the little spark of inspiration I have left is slowly dying out. I'm still doing my best to hold on to it but I feel like if I don't do something about work and not achieve that work-life balance, I'll completely lose it. If you know me well, you know that I live for balance. I always need to have balance. And right now I don't. Sorry for being a whiner, really just have to let this out.

Anyway, I'll stop here before this post becomes a novel-long rant about life and whatnot. Here's to surviving the worst November ever (which saddens me to say being that November is my birth mont, nearly forgetting that I just turned twenty-seven yesterday). But yes, here's to surviving this month. Talk to you guys again soon!
