Macau is home, but if you ask me to trace my roots, I’d say Bicol is where my family truly belongs. I spent parts of my childhood and adolescence there. Sadly, as an adult, visits have become rare. Here are some snapshots from those few occasions when I made it back for my grandma’s 80th birthday in 2023. It will most likely be another few years before I return again.
