BORACAY
Under The Sun
So here's what I've decided as the last set of imagery from my recent Boracay trip - a mere outfit post attempt (because I like my print mixing bikini and skirt combo too much). I have an irrational fear of wasting a good sort of outfit by not being able to share with you all, and since I have hundreds of photos, mostly of the beach, sunset, coconut trees, souvenirs, island stuff, and whatnot, I've yet to decide how to categorize them into a decent, sensible post. I settle.
A Vivid Summer
After days of perpetual struggle to return to my otherwise normal routine, I remain indolent. Is there such a thing as post-vacation syndrome? Because I think I caught it. Real bad, as a matter of fact. Doesn't help either that 1) My family's still back in the Philippines enjoying the food, the sun, and the high life of Manila; and 2) despite procrastinating for days, it's inevitable as much as a necessity to look at these images while prepping this post to share with you all, reminding me so much how it sucks to be back in the real world.
Bora, Oh Bora.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Boracay is this wondrous paradise full of energy so intoxicating that I'll never tire of.
Colors of Boracay
One thing that I always look for in a place that I visit is vibrant colors, be it from the buildings, vehicles, or the marketplace. In my mind, that's how I see if it is a place full of life. In Boracay, colors are everywhere. I couldn't be happier to spend our last day walking along the white beach and consequently shopping for souvenirs at the Talipapa market, where I made sure to bring my camera with me to capture as many colors as I could.
Mt. Luho View Point
We spent some time admiring the whole of Boracay from the highest point in Mt. Luho. From down the village, we each rented all-terrain vehicles and rode to the mountain top, and upon reaching, had to climb up man-made bamboo stairs and bridges towards the viewing deck.
Island Life
Four days of lying under the sun, soaking in the deep seas, feeding the fishes, stretching our muscles in the various water sports, and sailing across the ocean to the beautiful islands that compose Boracay, I'm officially in a mental state of bliss.
Boracay, Baby!
And here we are! Did I mention that this place is just heavenly? Oh, yes I did. There's not a minute that I don't enjoy in this beautiful paradise, waking up in the morning to the sound of splashing waves and the fresh sea breeze.
